This portrait was from a set of working looking at character based fashion narrative. This is the last image in the set showing a couple, the girl loosing interest while the boy tries to keep their relationship alive...

You have to be inspired before you can become inspiring...

As promised, as well as my own work on here I am also going to be posting about photographers and artists that inspire me, and there is nowhere else I could even think about starting this compilation of artists other than with the one and only- Tim Walker. Without a doubt one of the best photographers I have ever come across, and had the pleasure of viewing first hand at the Story Teller exhibition at Somerset house in January 2013

The pure elegance Walker creates throughout his work is what has made him a stand out photographer within today's fashion industry, earning him prodigious awards and frequently gracing the pages of vogue.
I'm struggling formulate any kind of coherent sentence about the honest beauty of Walker's work without turning into a gushing mess (It happened, i'm sorry), all I can say is if you aren't already familiar with his work, look him up, and let his work speak for itself (partially, perhaps because I am doing an appalling job at speaking for it...)

Of course, you cannot mention the work of Tim Walker, without mentioning set designer Shona Heath who is known for her extravagant fairytale style that Walker has become the king of. Although Heath's style is prominent in the work of artists she worked with before Walker (Take Tim Gutt, for example), the combination of the two great minds of Walker and Heath has created, in my mind, some of the greatest fashion photography around at this time.

What are your opinions on Tim Walkers work? I'm always looking for new artists to be inspired by so let me know who's work inspires you...

We may be passed having a white Christmas, but i'm still holding out for snow...

The only emotion I'm feeling post Christmas:

These pictures are from a project based on the 'seven deadly sins' where I tried to include the name of the sin in the pictures; with gluttony being the most successful of the set (and most likely the grossest...Apologies to the faint hearted)

I'm determined to keep this blog updated, so here comes my second post. I loved these shoots I did a few years back now, looking at putting people in places you wouldn't expect. The images with the red dress were development through my project and the blue dress was the final outcome, something I was pretty happy with as this was only A-level work.

Returning (once again) to the world of blogging

If the university is far vaster than the skies we see, why is the sky the limit?

Southern raised, Northern taught photography student. Posting my own work, inspiration and any other form of procrastination I can think of.

Getting started with wishful thinking of summer time- Sorrento, Italy.
